Lillian Bassman



The timeless, beautiful and frankly, brilliant work of Lillian Bassman, who passed away on Monday aged 94.

  2. A beautiful tribute to an extraordinary pioneer. Pushing the shutter button was just the beginning, her brilliance lay in darkroom manipulation, no easy task in the days before photoshop.
    That melancholic slideshow soundtrack by the Gotan Project puts me in the mood for brandy, let's all raise a glass in honor of this great artist.
